7/89 – now California Army National Guard, Sacramento, CA. Sergeant. Member of Delta Company, 223rd Military Intelligence Battalion (Linguist). Military Occupational Skills (MOS): combat engineer, information retrieval, certified trainer. Served as squad leader for engineer squad, in charge of twelve engineers, performing coordination in field operations, relayed information from higher-ups, and conducting monthly training. Performed construction and destruction of bridges, hooked up communications systems for company command post. Built roads, schoolhouses, and medical clinics in Panama. Trained other soldiers in communications, including motivation, interviewing techniques, reporting and presentation of information retrieved through interviews. Background currently under review for issuing a top secret security clearance.

Served as head of selections, crew leader, field operations clerk, field operations supervisor. Hired over a thousand people in four weeks. Supervised half a dozen selection clerks, and later eighteen enumerators. Trained selection clerks and enumerators. Performed employee counseling in reaction to discipline problems.
